Tension as Oshiomhole Drags Obasanjo, Yar’Adua, Others into PDP’s Catastrophe

Tension as Oshiomhole Drags Obasanjo, Yar’Adua, Others into PDP’s Catastrophe
Edo State Governor, Adams Oshiomhole, has said that members of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, who looted Nigeria dry during their 16 years rule, are now openly confessing like witches.
Oshiomhole, who made this claim on Wednesday, July 6, attributed the crisis rocking the PDP to God’s vengeance on the party’s alleged destruction of the country, which started from former President, Olusegun Obasanjo.
“If Buhari had not come, we will not know why the Nigeria government failed… They are now confessing like witches. A pastor who emerged as candidate confessed to collecting N700 million from a bank,” Oshiomhole said.
Recall, that the coordinator of former President, Goodluck Jonathan’s Campaign Organisation in Edo State, during the 2015 Presidential election, Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu, is currently under investigation by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, for collecting N700 million campaign slush funds.

Ize-Iyamu, a former Chief of Staff and Secretary to the Edo State Government and current Governorship candidate of the PDP, for the September 10 election, told newsmen at a press briefing in Benin recently, that his reported arrest and detention was the handiwork of his detractors.
Apparently replying President Muhammadu Buhari’s critics, Oshiomhole said, “the President has to be rigid, to be able to find the thieves, and to avoid building on a foundation destroyed by the PDP”.
He further stressed that, “Nigeria would have become a collapsed State, if Jonathan had continued as President”.
Explaining, he added that the first step to make the needed change, was to fix wrongs done in the past and cleanse the rot done by the PDP. The Governor also said, that past administrations failed to save, to make adequate plans for the country, but looted the nations treasury carelessly.
“We have to thank Allah for making it possible for Buhari to emerge. God so love Nigeria that He brought Buhari at this time.”
