Achuzia's victorious "Abagana ambush" in March 31, 1968 against the Nigeria federal forces remains one of the greatest achievements in any battle. Wiping out a whole battalion in single strike including 106 armoured vehicles.

Murtala Mohammed was forcefully and temporarily re-assigned by Gen. Gowon for the huge loss of lives and military equipment.
