OMG: MUST READ: Osinbajo Speaks Out, Exposes Buhari’s Weak Points

Osinbajo Speaks Out, Exposes Buhari’s Weak Points

With the growing perception by Nigerians, that the present administration is failing in its promises, Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo, has reportedly made a shocking revelation on the weaknesses of the President Muhammadu Buhari administration.
Osinbajo, made the disclosure at the 10th Annual Dinner Conference of the Nigerian Bar Association, NBA, held at the Transcorp Hilton, Abuja, on Thursday, June 23.
The Vice President, stated that President Buhari seem to be failing, because his administration is yet to get the consensus of Nigerian elites on national matters, a concern that has continued to hunt him.
Osinbajo, noted that no President and country would fulfil its campaign promises and move the country forward, if the elites fail to reach a reasonable agreement on certain core values.
He listed religion, ethnicity, issues of corruption and so on, as pressing issues that must be clearly agreed upon for the Buhari-led Federal Government to succeed.
“The challenges facing Nigeria is huge, yet the elites are yet to come to consensus. There is no consensus (as yet) on ethics, integrity and even corruption.
“To what extent do we accept corruption; that is, to what extent do we think it is most unacceptable, that it would destroy our country.

“We need consensus on what is right to do, for self preservation and for that (the preservation) of the country, it is essential.”
He said forging such consensus regarding vital issues, is vital to the growth of the Nigerian society.
“We do not have to belong to the same religion or tribe, state or geo-political zones. We need to speak about ethics and how to enforce it, if we want our country to move forward and be united.
“The area of adjudication requires some radical thinking and changes, commercial litigation is the area that feels the pinch the most. The system is so slow, that it has attracted a lot of negative comments outside the country,” he said.
However, Osinbajo, urged the Nigerian elites to come to a consensus on issues of national interest, in order to enhance the growth of the Nigerian society.
Also speaking at the event, the Minister of Finance, Kemi Adeosun, lamented the culture of waste in Nigeria’s finances over the years, as she affirmed that only financial discipline and diversification could pull Nigeria out of its present economic situation.
She told the audience, that the Buhari administration’s way of tackling the issue, is to diversify revenue sources in the country, in order to gain economic stability against the unstable oil market.
Meanwhile, the minister was recently under attack, after workers of the Ministry of Finance in Abuja, stopped the Minister from gaining entrance into the building in a protest.
The workers demanded for her immediate sack, over corruption allegations, and demanded for the release of their welfare packages, which the Minister has refused to release.
