Delta says Flight 55 from Lagos to Atlanta, Georgia, left around 10:50 p.m. local time Tuesday and returned to Lagos International Airport less than an hour later.

A Delta statement says the A330-200 had an issue with one of its two engines. Delta says the flight landed safely and passengers were evacuated onto the runway down emergency slides. Delta says five passengers reported “non-critical” injuries during the evacuation, but the statement didn’t elaborate.

The airline says it was providing hotel rooms for the passengers and would rebook them on another Delta flight this afternoon.

Sunday Oliseh Sacked By Fortuna Sittard

Sunday Oliseh has been sacked as head coach of Fortuna Sittard. The club made this known in a statement on their official website today.

The club claimed he didn’t get along with management and had strained relations with players and staff. The statement on their website reads;

“The club management makes this decision as a result of the repeatedly culpable actions for a longer period by the trainer towards several persons in the organization.”

“Several attempts by the club to change his behavior remained unfortunately without result, resulting in an unworkable situation as a result.”

“’The board of Fortuna Sittard emphasizes that the decision to sack Sunday Oliseh is not motivated by current results.”

“The coach has a bad working relationship with players and staff.”

“Fortuna Sittard regrets the decision, but the interest of the club is above anything else”

5 Years! Denrele Visits Goldie's Graveside WEARING Her DRESS [Photos]

It's 5 years today that Nigeria lost one of her female singers, Goldie Harvey, but her friend Denrele Edun remembers her just like yesterday. Today he visited her grave side and penned these words to her. RIP GOLDIE...

Dearest friend,
You have been dead for FIVE YEARS now.

I can’t say it has been easy learning to live without you. Heading into year FIVE, I can say I have started to make real progress. I can talk about your death without crying. I can look people in the eye and tell them how you died. And now I finally feel like I can be honest with you. Okay, not with you per se, but I can be honest with myself about you.

I’ve come to terms with the fact that I will never see you again. It was incredibly difficult to reconcile my desire to see you again with my belief that there is no afterlife. I used to look for you everywhere, hoping that you were watching over me and sending me signs. But I don’t need you to linger anymore. I am finally at ease with your passing.

It shouldn’t have been a secret that I loved you for being more than a friend and closer than family. While I was completely satisfied with what I thought was the ideal platonic male/female relationship, I know others thought that we could be perfect for each other. How serendipitous it would have been!

It pains me to admit that I think about you more now than I did when you were alive. I stare into your negative space and fear that one day I will go twenty-four hours without pausing to remember you. I let your tense slide from present to past and even past perfect.

While it is frightening to think of what comes next, somehow, in your own way, you’ve prepared me for it. You were my first friend and my first eulogy. I think it would make you, the eternal optimist that you were, happy to know that your friendship keeps making me a better, stronger person. You showed me that I can function in the face of tragedy. You taught me the vocabulary of grief so I can comfort others when they need it. I never would have asked for it to be this way, but if this is what I can take from it, I will.

So, dearest friend, that’s all I have to share for now. I’ll raise a glass for your 38th birthday this October, and, as always, I’ll keep you in my thots.

P.S: I wore YOUR DRESS to ur graveside. It's ripped here and there (You'll pull my hair out for this) but it's cos I'v been dancing #Skibobo in it all day long!
RIP GOLDIE

How Moji Olaiya Lost Her Salvation, Faith & Life To An Unworthy & Coward Polygamist – Ayaba Funke

SECRET LOVE, SECRET SIN, & SECRET DEATH!
What a great lesson for all ladies to learn from! Moji lost her salvation, she lost her faith, and she lost her life for unworthy and coward man! A useless so-called Alhaji that impregnated her, but could not accompanied her to Canada to deliver the baby.

A man that could not even visit her since March that the baby had been born prematurely; A man that can not even show up to pay a condolence visit to her family.
An irresistible and so-called father that can not even show up to know the welfare of his new born baby: and a very heartless man that was hiding from camera even while paying his final respect to her.

Finally, I pray that God will forgive that so-called ALHAJI, but he needs to confess his sins of infidelity and unfaithfulness to his wife so that he can show up to Moji’s family to take care of the baby.
Won ni omo ki pa omo jaiye. He cannot send someone to the grave already and hide himself in order to save his marriage.
May God forgive Moji of all her shortcomings and rest her soul in perfect peace!

SHOCKING: See the meaning of Tonto Dikeh’s Tattoo (PHOTOS)

Being a famous person in Nigeria is quite a responsibility. You have to think about what you are doing, saying and wearing. Why? Because ‘with great fame comes great responsibility’. Just make a wrong move today and tomorrow you will hear your name everywhere in the news. That’s what happened with Tonto Dikeh and her new tattoo.

Tonto Dikeh tattoo

tonto dikeh tatoo
Some time ago, Tonto Dikeh got some new tattoos on her back and neck. In our opinion, they look quite gorgeous and make the actress more stylish. Her only reason for the tattoo is to express herself. However, not all people think like that. In fact, there were a lot of rumors and gossips behind her back (no pun intended).

The tattoo is quite detailed and colorful. You can see a smiling woman holding something that seems to be a heart with red horns on it. Maybe the horns were the reason for all those rumors.

Let’s cover some of the theories. There were lots of them, poor Tonto. Her tattoo was discussed not only in Nigeria but outside the state too. The main rumor was that her tattoo showed she had some connection with the devil. Shocking, right?

Then things have got even more interesting here. People claimed that she sold her soul to the devil and the tattoo represent her loyalty. What is in the mind of those who believe that?

Other fans thought less radical things. For example, they said that her tattoo was a way to make herself more “fashionable.” Some of them were actually inspired by the tattoo and are considering getting a similar one.

 What does it mean?

tonto dikeh tatoo
Let us get back to the topic. Tonto Dikeh got so sick of the guesses and rumors that she decided to tell us what the tattoo meant. As we have learned before, she is not the kind of woman that is willing to talk much about her personal life. We guess that people were getting on her nerves. So what is the secret behind her tattoo?

The only thing that she said thus far was that the tattoo meant that she was a part of the society called the Witches of Nigeria. Yes, it may be shocking at first but think about how much courage she needed to admit that to the public!

There was more controversy raised since her statement was announced. But people close to her claimed that she was simply honest with her fans. That she may be a part of the society that is somehow involved in witchcraft. In any case, it is her life choice, and nobody has the right to judge her.

Even if all the statements are true, Tonto has the right to do the things she wants to do. She is afraid that people will judge her, but she shouldn’t! She is a great actress, and people should think about her talent, not her tattoo choices.

A tattoo is an individual choice, and as long as Tonto likes it, she can do whatever she wants with her body. Tonto Dikeh is a beautiful woman with a lot of tattoos, and she is in love with her body. She has other tattoos besides the one on her back and neck. Some of them took ten hours to make!

The only thing we can do is to watch her movies and admire her talent. We hope that people will stop “whispering” behind Tonto’s back because she is truly a talented actress.

Mother asks NYSC to redeploy her son on the grounds of spiritual attack (photo)

A Nigerian mother, Uwakwe Theresa wrote the National Youths Service Corps a letter, asking them to redeploy her son on the grounds of spiritual attack. Lol...

According to her letter, her son, Chijioke Nnamdi, who was posted to Yobe state suffers from a spiritual attack called 'Ogugu' which can only be treated by a prophet. She further stated that any form of orthodox medicine administered to the boy will lead to his death.

In my wildest nightmares, I never thought I would be burying my son today, his killers have destroyed me - Major Mahama's mother cries out

Veronica Bamford, mother of slain Major Adam Mahama who was lynched by a mob in Ghana has revealed how hard it is for her to contain the death of her son who will be laid to rest today at the Osu Military Cemetary.
“I am a woman of faith, so death and dying are not my fears but never in my wildest nightmares did I ever think I would be burying my son. Never!
The gruesome and horrific way my son was snatched from this earth is beyond any words” she said in her tribute to her son at the state house burial held in Accra
According to the heartbroken mother, she has not only lost a son she so much adored, but an advisor and a helper who was always ready to lend support each time the need arose.
“The birth of my sweetest baby boy gave me the greatest gift of all. It made me a mother for the first time. Major Maxwell Adam Mahama was such a special child”, she revealed.
Read her emotional tribute below...
On 1st of November,1985, my sweet baby boy, for me the greatest gift of all-he made me a mother for the first time. Maxwell Adam Mahama was such a special child. He had a pure, loving, kind heart reflected in his always smiling face. Since childhood. Adam was very energetic. Throughout school, he always participated and excelled in sports.

This passion continued into adulthood. An avid sportsman. he played lawn tennis for the Army and for leisure. In addition to being a strong swimmer, he also recently explored golf and equestrianism. He was always learning. looking for ways to improve himself and to be a better human being.

As a compassionate animal lover, his respect for life also extended to his pets. His family and friends know of some of his dogs. especially Luna. who brought him so much joy. He would pay tribute to her on the anniversary of her death.
While I was in Ghana in March. he lost a dog and he spent time alone with the dead dog shedding tears, after which he buried it. Then he said ‘Mummy that was my children’s pet.

As soon as they wake up they go and check on it before anything else.” He said he had to get another dog for his children.

Adam loved his family fiercely. He had a great sense of duty to his family and to those around him’ you knew you could always count on Adam to be there whenever you needed him. I am so proud of the son I raised, an honourable man who took care of others, who protected his nation. He displayed true manhood the way he cared for his wife and kids.

Igbo ultimatum: Northern Elders Forum berate El-Rufai, Shettima for ordering the arrest of Northern youths

The Northern Elders’ Forum (NEF) have expressed support to the call made by the Coalition of Northern Youth Groups for Igbos residing in the region to leave within three months or be kicked out.

In a chat with newsmen in Zarai, Kaduna state today, the NEF spokesperson, Ango Abdullahi, said the Igbos cannot continue to reside in another region of the country when they are agitating for the secession of Nigeria to form their own country, Biafra.

According to him, it is a hypocritical act by the Igbos. He also berated the Kaduna and Borno state governors, Nasir El-Rufai and Kashim Shettima, for condemning the Northern youths and ordering their arrest.

“I am disappointed in the decision taken by Northern Governors’ Forum disowning and condemning the agitation by this young agile and progressive youth groups. Let me ask these Northern governors, whom are they representing, are they representing spirits, ghost or people of the north? Recently, people from eastern part of this country, specifically Igbo, were busy calling for the Sovereign State of Biafra and from all indication their leaders including governors are behind them.”he said
According to Ango, when Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Indeginous People of Biafra IPOB, was released on bail recently, over 100 vehicles escorted him to his residence including big personalities from the south-west and south-east.
“This is somebody who has been agitating for the breakup of Nigeria but his people were behind him, therefore, I am behind the youths. This is because the northern youths are pushed to the wall, we have been calming them down in any event similar to this. These people always pretend that the north is cheating them, not minding the fact that southern Nigeria was developed by resources from the north. Please, look for a book written by Adamu FiKa, the Waziri of FiKa on Nigeria’s budget before and after independence. Each year, up to the time Nigeria gained its independence, none of the two regions was able to provide for itself. I mean none of the western and eastern regions had the money to effectively run the affairs of its region until they get financial support from the Northern region.”
Ango said it was the same money from the North that was used to construct Nigerian Railways, refineries and other facilities.
“First oil exploration was conducted using money from groundnut pyramid, cotton, hide and skin among other cash crops from northern Nigeria. However, these people tend to forget all these goodies provided by the North toward ensuring the unity and corporate existence of Nigeria. They always look down on us, feeling that Northerners are parasites in this country.”he said

Mother and 2-year-old daughter found dead with heads buried in sand in South Africa

A murdered mother and her two-year-old daughter were found on Tuesday with their heads buried in the sand. The bodies of Octavia de Bruin, 24, and her daughter Cleo, 2, were found in bushes between Protea Park and the Witsand informal settlements in Atlantis, South Africa..

Their heads were buried in the sand while their bodies were sticking out. The bodies were discovered by a man on his way to Witsand. According to a witness, Octavia’s face looked as if it had been burnt, while little Cleo’s throat was slit.

On Wednesday, Octavia’s mother, Lena Skippers, 47, revealed she could only identify her daughter by her clothes.
“Octavia left home on Saturday for her friend in Witsand, to have her hair plaited. She usually comes home the Sunday or Monday for the latest and when she didn’t come home I started worrying,” Lena said.
She also revealed that she asked Octavia’s biological dad to find out where she was and also check Octavia's brother's house to see if she went there but he never got back to her. She broke down crying as she recalled the moment she learnt of their deaths.

She said;
“My husband and I were returning from Cape Town when I received a phone call saying that my daughter and her baby’s bodies were found in the bushes. I went to the scene but could not get too close. I could identify her by her clothing; she had on a blue tracksuit pants and T-shirt. Cleo was covered, but was lying about two feet away from her."
She continued to speak about her daughter and the kind of person she was.
“She was soft and sensitive. She could also be stubborn at times. I think she fought back. I know she fought back to try and save her child. Cleo was found in the sand, lying on her stomach.”
She says the last time she saw Octavia’s boyfriend, who is also Cleo’s father, was on Saturday and that he hasn't made contact since the incident, neither has he been at the house and she thinks that to be strange. Police spokesperson Lieutenant-Colonel AndrΓ© Traut says no arrests have been made.

“I see Aisha Buhari as a woman frustrated in trying to communicate with her husband” – Charly Boy

cb-1
Read what Charly boy has to say:
Guys, you must have read or heard by now our President’s answer when he was asked in the presence of other world leaders, in far away Germany, which party his wife, Aisha belongs to. He gave a classic “Aboki” answer, “I don’t know what political party she belongs to but all I know is that she belongs to my kitchen, my room and other rooms” whaaaat??!!!
Haba, some kin things just dey run belly.
My people, how many of una hear or read Aisha Buharis BBC interview. In that interview I could see a woman who has considered all her options and all consequences and is simply crying out for help because domestically things are perhaps not peaceful or that her husband’s power and authority has been hijacked by the treacherous cabals who insist on making some of our Presidents (past and present)a mere figure head. The same cabal hijacked Goodluck Jonathan administration, an easy going man who was never wired for treachery and evil, in fact that one personally confessed to me himself that he is under siege by the Cabal.
People, there is fire on the mountain o!!!!!!
As far as I’m concerned if Buhari is not in charge, then who the heck is in charge of this derailing ship called Nigeria.
I know that it is very lonely at the top. If you’re a family man, you know how easy or difficult it is in running your family how much more a country/nation as big as Nigeria.
Our leaders know they are ultimately responsible for the lives and fortunes of the people and If they fail, many of us will get poorer, suffer and die for nothing. They often deny the burdens and loneliness of leadership, thereby becoming incapable of facing reality, they tune down their inner voice, because it is too painful to confront or even acknowledge it; it may, however, appear in their dreams as they try to resolve conflicts rustling around inside their heads, cabinet or homes, therefore , their work and function derails and personal lives get out of balance. They lose touch with those closest to them̬ like their spouses, children, and best friends who can no longer synchronise their points of view and they eventually lose their capacity to think logically about important issues. Long and short, the country and its people suffer, especially the poor masses. My people, look at Us now. Hummmmm!!!
I dont believe that our First Lady, Aisha is crazy, unhinged or trying to sabotage her husband’s efforts, rather I see her as a woman who is frustrated in trying to communicate with her husband, a woman who probably havent had any lately in decades, a woman who is sick and tired of all the male macho bullshit and above all very afraid of these treacherous, vile and evil Cabal whose plans are not in the country’s best interest. She may have her game going. Who knows. For the First Lady to say all that she said understanding the consequences living with the kinda man who wouldn’t really mind confining her to the kitchen, is very noble and courageous. My people can this explain the confusion in Aso Rock today or the inaction/insensitivities of Buhari’s government towards us, the people? The bad spirits have taken over, Holy Ghost Fire!!!!!!!!
I didn’t vote in the last election because the choice of candidates was wrong, it was like being between the devil and the deep blue sea. And I have always said that what Nigeria/Nigerians need now, is a benevolent dictator who can arrest these cabals and for once have a leadership that thinks about Us, the People.
The divisive tactics of the Cabal is legendary. They are egotistical sleazy riffraffs who can never comprehend the concept of leadership, service to the people. They are blinded by their greed and the evil that dwells in their hearts.
From where I stand, I feel the Cabal have succeeded in overpowering our President, hence, Aisha’s cry for help. And it doesn’t make it any easier when the person in question has a mungo park mentality. Kai wahala dey.
My people what do we do? how can we help to get our oga to see our predicament and take immediate action to rescue our future?. Nigerians are no longer happy, they are hungry and angry. God ain’t going to send down manna from heaven so forget about night vigil and your pastors, it is our call to face this monster or we will all die one after another before our time.
Any suggestions is permitted because this doesn’t look good at all.
I don talk my own.

Ghanaian actor Van Vicker and wife celebrate 13th year wedding anniversary

wp-1476651765964
Ghanaian actor who is prominent in Nollywood is celebrating his 13th wedding anniversary with his wife and mother of three children, Adjoa, today October 16th. He shared this throwback photo from their wedding with the caption:
‘13 years and counting…what more can I say? #MyLife#MySuccessStory #Marriage #vanvicker’

Facebook User Romantically Narrates How He And His Wife Equally Belong To The Kitchen, Living Room And The Other Room.

pffffffft
Airing his thoughts on how women spouses should be treated in every matrimonial home, this Facebook user, Anthony Igbinosun, penned down an interesting piece detailing how himself and his wife equally belong to the kitchen, living room and the other room.
According to him,
“I consider myself to be a very conservative person. Some people even call me old-fashioned. I grew up believing that a woman should be the one cooking, taking care of the kids, etc. However I didn’t have this perception because I considered women inferior. I just felt that was the right thing, maybe based on the traditional values inherent in the African society. I also believed that the man should be the main- if not only- contributor of money in the family. That was years ago.
Today, as a married man, my views have completely changed. One weekend, my wife was doing house chores while I was on my laptop working on my novel, trying to meet a deadline. Although I was focused on my work, at the back of my mind I noticed that the sound of plates changed to the sound of a broom and then the sound of clothes being washed. Immediately, I was alarmed. I thought, ‘Wait, is she doing all that work alone?! And she never called for assistance?!’ Immediately, I left what I was doing and told her to stop, take a rest and tell me what was left to do so that I could do it.
When I was done, I realised that my mentality had changed. You see, love is always greater than a sense of ‘duty’. You don’t need to force a real man to share the responsibilities of house chores like washing, cleaning, taking care of the baby, cooking, etc. Any man who truly loves his wife will not be able to bear the thought of leaving her to bear the burden alone. Let us cast aside the mentality of ‘this is a woman’s duty, that is a man’s duty’. Even the Bible supports a man washing plates (2 Kings 21:13) πŸ™‚ and a woman providing financially for the family (Prov 31:11-23).
What is most important is this: we want to achieve something and we work together to achieve it. If she earns more than I do, then she can contribute more to the family financial goals than I do. If she is working outside while I work from home or return earlier from work, why can’t I be the one taking care of the baby, feeding and cleaning his/her ‘bum bum’ after pooing? If you think these things make you less of a man, then you were never a man in the first place. There is nothing like ‘duties of a man’ and ‘duties of a woman’. However, for the sake of effectiveness, division of labour can be implemented but not because of ‘duty’. The man can end up taking cooking responsibilities and the woman takes the work of car-washing. Doesn’t matter!
On another day, my lovely wife cooked a delicious meal of very peppery Oha soup littered with pomo, fish, meat, etc etc, just the way I love it. I told her, ‘Thank you so much for going to the market and cooking this food. Honestly, I’m grateful.’ She looked at me, surprised and said ‘Why are you thanking me for such a thing? It’s my duty.’ Immediately, I told her it’s not her duty to cook but her choice and that’s why I was very thankful.
The first time I tried washing her clothes we almost had a serious disagreement. She kept saying ‘It’s not right, it’s not right. You shouldn’t wash my clothes.’ Then I threatened to also restrict her from touching mine. At that point we were able to reach an agreement.
What’s the point of this message? My wife and I equally belong to the kitchen, to the living room and…well, to the other room πŸ˜€ . God bless you!”

Gov. Ayo Fayode Rescues Fani-Kayode’s Wife And Baby From EFCC Detention. (Photo)

ayo-and-precious
Following the arrest of the ex-minister of aviation and his wife and 8 months old baby, Ekiti State governor Ayo Fayose has according to his media aide Lere Olayinka, released Femi Fani-Kayode‘s wife, Precious Chikwendu.
He shared the photo above and wrote…
“In continuation of their government’s reign of impunity, Chief Femi Fani-Kayode’s wife, Precious Chikwendu was DETAINED for over FOUR HOURS with her 8 MONTHS old baby, Aragorn in Access Bank, Ajilosun Branch, Ado Ekiti today.
Fani-Kayode’s wife was at the bank to withdraw money from her personal account, which has about N200,000 in it.
She was DETAINED in the bank on the order of the EFCC! Even when her 8 MONTHS old baby was crying for food and water, she was held captive!
It took the intervention of Governor Fayose who stormed the bank to free the woman while the EFCC officials that would have whisked her away were still being expected.
Here is the picture of Fani-Kayode’s wife with her 8 MONTHS old baby after they were rescued by Governor Fayose.”
