After One Day As Acting President, What Osinbajo Plans To do Will Shock You

Osinbajo
The federal government is planning to suspend military operations in the offensive against Niger Delta militants. The federal government is considering scaling down military offensive to give room for dialogue with militants and other aggrieved groups in the region.

Addressing newsmen in Abuja on Monday, June 6, the Minister of State, Petroleum Resources, Ibe Kachikwu said the planned suspension of military offensive is to allow for individuals in the creeks to converge for the dialogue. He urged the militants to sheathe their sword and shelve violence. Kachikwu called on them to embrace dialogue with government. Following the continued bombing of oil installations by the Niger Delta Avengers, soldiers have intensified their search for members of the group and have been raiding communities in the region.
